Product Details
Water filter material KDF 55
General Description KDF 55 (or Kinetic Degradation Flux Material), is a chemical compound used in water filtration applications. It is specifically designed to remove or dechlorinate and heavy metals dissolved in water. It controls scale, bacteria and algae, even in hot water. KDF 55 is often used in conjunction with activated carbon to maximize filter effectiveness. Generally KDF 55 is used in purification systems as a pre-filter, before another stage of better filtration, for example reverse osmosis, deionization and ion exchange systems.
Structure KDF 55 water filter material is a high purity alloy of both copper and zinc, used in flake or granular form. Usually appears yellow or brassy.
Application 1. High efficiency Removes chlorine, pesticides, organic matter, rust, unpleasant tastes and odors.
Application 2. Effectively kills algae and fungi, controls bacterial growth.
Application 3. Effectively removes heavy metal ions dissolved in water such as Pb2+, Cd2+, Cr6+, As3+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Al3+, Fe3+, etc.
Application 4. Effective removal of hydrogen sulfide, calcium and other organic compounds.
