INTRODUCTION OF DMI-65 SEEDS

DMI-65 is an improved silica sand filter media designed for the removal of iron and manganese without the use of potassium permanganate. The unique porous structure of DMI-65 allows for the removal of iron to 0.005 ppm and manganese to 0.001 ppm. After initial activation, DMI-65 acts as an oxidizer with instant oxidation and filtration of insoluble precipitates. This material has been widely used in a variety of applications in Japan for over 30 years. Quantum Filtration manufactures DMI-65 under license in Western Australia. DMI-65 has been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 by the Water Quality Association. This is a water filter media for removing iron from a variety of water sources from wells, springs, ponds, lakes, rivers and streams.

DMI-65 can also be used as a mechanical filter material because of its ability to filter solids up to 10 microns.

DMI-65 can also remove Arsenic, Aluminum and Hydrogen Sulfide under certain conditions.

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

DMI-65 applies leaching technology and not just surface coating like other filter materials, this gives DMI-65 the advantage of a lifespan of up to 5 ÷ 8 years as well as high efficiency. It also eliminates the possibility of chemical seepage into the water source.
